Dr. Anjum Qureshi is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering at Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering Research & Technology, Chandrapur, Maharashtra. She has teaching experience of 16 years. She is a life coach, parenting coach, internationally certified career counselor, freelance trainer, and international motivational speaker.
Her research interests include the Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Wireless Communication, and Battery Management Systems. She has published 20+ research papers and two patents. She has published five book chapters on various topics. The chapters written by her have been published by renowned publishers like IGI Global and John Wiley & Sons from the USA.
Dr. Anjum Qureshi is an international trainer and speaker. She has been a speaker and moderator for more than 100 online sessions. She concentrates on issues like gender equality, soft skills, and mental health during her online sessions. She has conducted a number of sessions for students and teachers to enhance soft skills. She has received a number of awards and accolades for her excellent work in the education and social field.
She has been listed as the Top 20 influential researchers of Indian higher Education for the year 2021 and also top 20 Expert Faculties in the Branch of Electrical, Electronics, and Instrumentation Engineering 2020 by Ulektz Wall of Fame. She is the recipient of the Young Educator and Researcher Award and the Research Excellence Award for her research work. She has worked as an interpreter for two international documentary films by UNICEF and has accompanied interns from Columbia University during their research on micro-planning in the Chandrapur district.
Dr. Anjum Qureshi considers teaching is the noblest profession as it allows continuous learning and gives an opportunity to create positive changes in the lives of millions. She believes that education is a right and no one should be deprived of it. During the covid times, Anjum was a member of a team that trained more than 300 teachers to conduct online classes. She has a vision of a self-reliant nation.
She has initiated a number of skill development programs for rural women. She helps rural women to acquire training for skills like tailoring, fashion designing, and computer skills so that the women become self-sufficient and support their families. At the college level, as she is in charge of the students ’ activities, she has supported many students to participate in competitions. Six students have successfully represented themselves as speakers at an International conference. Five students won the district-level competition and qualified for the state-level declamation competition.
The session on communication skills initiated by her has helped several students to qualify for the placement rounds, and they are working in renowned companies in different parts of the world.
Dr. Anjum Qureshi believes that everyone needs to have the courage to take the first step. Once you start with determination, no hurdles can stop you from achieving your goals. A small gesture is enough to bring a large change in society.
